- Critique of science and the scientific method is central to the postmodern project in anthropology, and this critique is based on two interrelated arguments, epistemological and ideological. Since both of these arguments stem from the central emphasis that postmodernists place on subjectivity, Spiro assesses the postmodernist interpretation and use of that critical concept.
