• Using grounded theory as an example, three questions are examined that are generally applicable to all qualitative methods: (1) How should the usual scientific canons be reinterpreted for qualitative research? (2) How should researchers report the procedures & canons used in their research? & (3) What evaluative criteria should be used in judging the research products? Proposing that criteria should be adapted to fit the procedures of the method, it is demonstrated how this can be done for gounded theory; criteria for evaluating studies following this approach are suggested. 27 References.
