This article was written in memory of Victor Zoltowski, who died in 1969. Zoltowski studied statistics, demography, & sociol in Poland. In France, he continues the work of Mr. Halbwachs on the collective consciousness & broadened the work of F. Simiand on cycles of history. He was one of the last representatives of the French Sch of Sociol. In his major works Zoltowski, analyzed the Bibliographie de la France (Bibliography of France) by categories of publication. By constructing curves for publications in diff domains of knowledge, he hoped to discover cycles of history & changes in the collective consciousness. A. Peskin.
