The question of whether the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks against the US constitute the predominant political event within the international political order is contemplated. Analysis of the 20th century global political developments revealed that WWI, WWII, & the Cold War significantly influenced the shape of the international order. Whereas WWI produced a movement that supported the establishment of a global political community, it is claimed that WWII highlighted tensions between political ideologies & facilitated decolonization movements. After reviewing the consequences of the Cold War, particularly the dissolution of the USSR, for the international political order, attention is directed toward exploring the global political ramifications of the September 11, 2001, attacks. Several articles that study how the aforementioned terrorist acts have impacted various nations' international relations platforms are also introduced. J. W. Parker
