• A comparative analysis of the Slovak Republic & the Republic of Croatia reveals similar geographical & historical characteristics as well as similar processes in both internal & foreign policy. The foreign policy goals are primarily oriented toward Euroatlantic integration, especially membership in the EU & NATO. Apart from the set goals in foreign policy, methods for the conduct of foreign policy are strictly determined. The cooperation of the Slovak Republic with its neighbors, especially in the context of the Vysehrad group, is one of the main methods through which Slovak foreign policy has benefited from the experience of others. So far, the requested conditions for accession to membership in the EU & NATO have been fulfilled according to the set harmogramme. Despite the consensus of all the political subjects, the only thing that might affect the conduct of foreign policy would be instability of the governing coalition in the forthcoming pre-election period. 7 References.
