• The careers of alumni of the U of Murcia since 1980 were analyzed longitudinally according to the supply & demand of positions, participation rates, & educational successes & failures in relation to social origin. The dependency of educational & occupational outcomes on social strata decreased over time. Graduation success increased in Education & Philosophy while it decreased in Chemistry, Math, & Biology over time. Females had more academic success than males, but there were also qualitative difference in their majors.
