The present article debates on the results of a survey that aimed at revealing the importance that high school students pay to education & the sources of information they use when deciding to go to a particular faculty. When analyzing social factors, we found out that their interest in higher education correlates with the economic status of their families & the level of education of their parents. The subjects declared they choose a faculty "which suits them" & "which has with good prospects." In absence of some professional counseling programs, high schools students infer about "which suits them" or "which has good prospects" when they interact with other significant persons (parents, teachers, peers). Thus we suggest a funnel of causality model, as a base of the career decision for high school students. Adapted from the source document.
