• If anyone believes that the spirit of self defense has lessened as a result of the suspension of the military draft, one has only to note that it still endures as a reaction to current dangers. With the lack of a draft, the concept of economic defense is an important tool in communicating the need for overall defense to the nation's youth. Even as they leave the country to do volunteer work on an international basis, they become an informational force that the government should use both as a way of gathering information about the world & as a way of spreading information throughout the French economy.
