• Providing users with a single source of information about all periodical titles available, regardless of source or format, is a high priority in many libraries. This article describes a project to extend the standard MARC-based library catalog with links to periodical titles available from full-text aggregators. The project developed a process for creating and maintaining brief bibliographic records for these non-traditional periodical titles; it features automated record creation and maintenance, and makes use of innovative local MARC tag definitions. This article also discusses a method to access this information at the point of need from within citation databases.
