Janine Roberts, EdD, is Professor in the School of Education, Counseling and Social Justice Programs at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, where she teaches, conducts research, and supervises clinical work. The author of a recently released book, Tales and Transformations (Norton Press), and co-author of Rituals for Our Times (Jason Aronson Press), she is perhaps best known for her contributions in the areas of training and supervision, family rituals and stories, and gender and multiculturalism in family therapy. She is the most recent past editor of the Journal of Feminist Family Therapy, and has served on the editorial boards of the major family therapy journals. She had held board positions in both the American Family Therapy Academy, and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. This interview was conducted on August 19, 1999.
