Beschreibungen/Notizen
Prognostic models are developed to be applied in new patients, who may come from different centers, countries, or times. Hence, new patients are commonly referred to as different from but similar to the patients used to develop the models. Here, in the last part of a series of articles about prognosis and prognostic research, Moons et al discuss the common limitations to the application and generalization of prognostic models and the evidence needed before practitioners can confidently apply a model to their patients.
