• Being involved in this interactive case report has been a rare but interesting experience. My doctors gave me their undivided attention, and it seemed only fair to give something in return, especially when it could help the scientific community to learn about my condition. Some months before the admission, around the middle of my menstrual cycle I had sudden abdominal pain associated with a feeling of warmth, sweating, and flushing, similar to the symptoms of menopausal women that I know. I was diagnosed as having dysmenorrhoea and told that I would improve with contraceptive drugs. Adapted from the source document.
