• A cellular representation of a Hamiltonian is obtained for the (d-p) model, with orthogonalized Wannier orbitals used for holes of copper and oxygen ions. the resulting Hamiltonian is represented as a sum of the main local contribution and a perturbation due to the delocalization of Wannier fermions. The lower states of the local Hamiltonian and their energy spectrum are determined. It is shown that the introduction of diagonalizing fermions leads to a substantial reduction of the Zhang-rice singlet energy. (CSA)
