• The directivity of an array antenna was maximized to operate in complex environments in the real world. Near field null (NFN) constraints were imposed on the radiation of the antenna to isolate critical zones affected by electromagnetic radiation. The electromagnetic interference with other electronic devices was controlled. The presence of dangerous levels of radiation was avoided in zones with persons or sensitive weapon systems. Optimization procedure was applied to obtain desired radiation patterns and numerical analysis proved the scanning capabilities of the technique, which was extended for far-field null application.
