Preparation of barium titanate ultrafine particles from amorphous titania by a hydrothermal method and specific dielectric constants of sintered discs of the prepared particles

BaTiO3 ultrafine particles were synthesised from amorphous TiO2 by a hydrothermal method. The relationships between particle size and operating conditions such as Ba/Ti ratio, hydrothermal temperature and reaction time were investigated systematically. Prepared particles were compressed and sintered and the specific dielectric constant of the sintered disc measured and correlated with the size of the composing particles. 4 refs.
