Goal and Scope. Several pressures have accelerated the search for more environmentally and toxicologically safe and more selective and efficacious pesticides. Plant secondary metabolites have been successfully exploited as insecticides, insect repellents, and insect antifeedants. Plants of the Rutaceae family are known to produce chemicals with insecticidal properties. This paper presents data on the chemical structures of bioactive secondary metabolites isolated from a bitter orange Citrus aurantium peel extract.
