- Highlights • The subtalar arthroereisis is valid for the treatment of flat foot secondary to posterior tibial tendon dysfunction at stage IIA1. • The calcaneal osteotomy, acts only in one plane and not in the three planes as happens with the technique of arthroereisis. • We recommend that arthroereisis be combined with soft tissue repair. • We believe this technique improves the function of the foot in the medium to long term.
