• Constituents of the leaf and root volatile oils of Pluchea indica (L.) Less. from two areas of Vinh City and Nghi Loc District, Nghe An Province, Vietnam were examined by High Resolusion GC and GC/MS. About twenty compounds were found of which 7 beta H-silphiperfol-5-ene (29.5% and 28.9%) and beta -selinene (44.7% and 38.6%) are main components in the aerial parts oils and also 7 beta H-silphiperfol-5-ene (34.0% and 27.9%) and alpha -copaene (15.5% and 13.8%) are major constituents of the root oils of two places of Vinh City and Nghi Loc District.
