• Implantation of 18 mosaic aneuploid blastocysts obtained through in vitro fertilization into 18 women resulted in six pregnancies of normal karyotype. These pregnancies proceeded to term, with the birth of six healthy babies. To the Editor: Chromosomal aneuploidy is recognized as a factor that contributes to unsuccessful embryo implantation and spontaneous abortion. It provides an explanation for the relatively low success rate of in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments.
