• The article deals with main directions of international criminal law theory development analysis in international thesis researches during last 20 years. The author notes that the issue enhances world-wide considering international ad hoc courts development, Rome Statute adoption and International Criminal Court activity. The article analyses general principles of thesis researches defended in 1994-2013 in Universities of Australia, UK, Hungary, Germany, India, Canada, Netherlands, USA, Finland, Czech Republic, RSA etc. The key problems analysed in thesis researches were: 1) 'Nurnberg heritage' meaning for today; 2) Common problems of international criminal law development and judicial field; 3) International Criminal Court activity and Rome Statute significance; 4) International ad hoc courts judicial field; 5) Crimes against humanity and military crimes; 6) International terrorism.
