• The Continuous Plankton Recorder (CPR) survey provides a unique multi-decadal data set on the abundance of plankton in the North Sea and North Atlantic. To show the scope of the data that have been collected, maps of the tows made and details of the species identified since 1948 are documented. It is hoped that this information will promote wider use of this data set.
