The condensed water from stripping tower of styrene removing unit was reused in the synthesis of styrene-butadiene rubber 1500, the effects of reused water on polymerization and rubber properties were investigated, and the corresponding measures were proposed. The results showed that the quality of reused water was stable during stationary production. When the mass fraction of reused water (to total water) was 30%, the polymerization time was prolonged, Mooney viscosity was increased and the mechanical properties of the rubber got poor. The reaction rules for the system without reused water were studied. As the reaction temperature increased, the conversion was controlled in mediui or lower limit and initiator and regulator amounts ir creased adequately, the Mooney viscosity of the rut ber decreased.
