Politics and language have a strong and complex relationship. In France such a link has evolved from the xviiith to the xxth century thanks to a socio-political, theoretical, and practical lexicology. This paper sets out to analyse a few stages and characteristics of the research work carried out on current political discourse and communication. //ABSTRACT IN FRENCH: Le lien entre la politique et le langage est complexe et fort.
