Beschreibungen/Notizen
Corn aboard a tanker vessel was fumigated in transit with Detia aluminum phosphide tablets and pellets at the rate of 1.06 g (AI)/m super(3) and with Detia Gas EX-B Bag Blankets at the rate of 1.04 g (AI)m super(3). Different lengths and configurations of perforated, polyethylene Advanced Drainage Systems, drainage tubing containing one-third of the dosage and positioned in some of the tanks effected rapid distribution of the phosphine gas throughout the grain mass. Survivors of caged insects and those insects found by incubation of postfumigation grain samples showed that the fumigation in the surface-treated tank was not as efficacious as any of the other treatments.
