• This paper describes the implementation of an occupational therapy program "Reestablishing the entertainment and games routine for babies and children in a pediatric ward" from the Laboratory of Activities and Development of Occupational Therapy Department at Federal University of Sao Carlos. The program focus on providing, during the confinement period, a routine of playing activities appropriated to clinical conditions and age. In 2008, the program assisted 103 children hospitalized in a pediatric ward of a medium-sized city located in the state of Sao Paulo. The activities, in general, allowed the children to express feelings openly about their hospital stay and reestablishing their playing routine. Adapted from the source document.
