• Residues of temik (aldicarb) and thimet (phorate) side-dressed each at 0.454 kg and 0.908 a.m./acre in 64 and 85 day old crop of mustard, were determined using L. erisimi as test insect. The residues could be detected to a minimum level of 0.05 to 0.20 ppm, and 0.02 to 0.20 ppm, 29 to 30 days and 19 to 25 days after application in case of temik and thimet, respectively. Three week age difference did not show marked difference in the amount of residue present in the crop.
