• This organizational leadership project focused on the practices of teamwork and collaborative capacity. Using a mixed-methods approach and aspects of appreciative inquiry, this research project explored the research question: How can Jewish Family Service Calgary enhance teamwork and collaborative capacity within their organization? The employees of Jewish Family Service Calgary volunteered to participate in this project to share their viewpoints and experiences. The data gathering tools used were an online survey and face-to-face interviews. A focus group was utilized so that the leadership team could examine the overarching themes and subthemes, look at future considerations, and determine recommendations. The study recommendations include: establish activities to encourage collaboration, practice effective communication, provide feedback to team members through meetings and debriefings, and enhance relationships through teambuilding and training. Throughout this research project, the rights of participants were protected and the Royal Roads University (2007) guiding principles for ethical research were adhered to.
