Reviews A. H. Coxon's 'The Philosophy of Forms: An Analytical and Historical Commentary on Plato's Parmenides'. Perhaps the most appropriate volume to compare with this work is the recent translation of Plato's 'Parmenides' by Gill and Ryan. Coxon's edition seems to be aimed primarily at advanced students and scholars, rather than beginners, yet there are many respects in which Coxon is actually much less scholarly than Gill and Ryan.
