Reviews the book, The Work of Mara Selvini Palazzoli by Matteo Selvini (Ed.) and Arnold J. Pomerans (see record 1988-97474-000). This book, lovingly and respectfully, but also candidly, openly, and honestly includes most of Mara Selvini Palazzoli's published work up to the beginning of this decade. The field of family therapy needs more therapists like her, who are devoted steadfastly to clinical searches and repeatable methodologies. Even more, the field needs researchers whose clinically relevant observations can be used by therapists in their offices. This book, of course, would be of interest to most advanced family therapists who would stress the issues covered by Selvini-Palazzoli's work as being crucial to future developments in the field.
