Vitamin and mineral supplementation has been used for quite some time as a dietary tool for weight loss and nutrient enhancement. Trim Plan 40 (TP40) supplements are specifically tailored to address issues such as hormonal changes, vitamin deficiencies, and vitality challenges for middle-aged women. This study is a descriptive, nonrandomized, natural quantitative method design study utilizing a validated, quantitative SF-12v2 well-being scale questionnaire. It examines how mental and physical health domains are affected during use of this supplementation. Results of the participant group are compared with results from a control group not taking the TP40 supplements during weight loss efforts. Due to a gap in current literature, implications for nutritional health care practitioners are determined from the results of this study. The purpose of this study is to examine how the health domains are affected while taking the TP40 dietary supplementation for 1 or more months. The SF12v2 questionnaire has been validated over 10-year period. The sample included a total of 99 individuals. The participants were self chosen middle-aged women between the ages of 45 and 54. In this group of participants, the treatment group consisted of 64 individuals and the control group consisted of 35 individuals. Overall, the results show how the health domains of the middle-aged women in this study were affected by either taking TP40 (i.e., the treatment), or by not being exposed to the treatment (i.e., the control group). Consistently, in both norm-based scoring and transformed scoring the treatment group had higher means than both the control and the norm group.
