We use the Landau formula for the rotation rate of a gyroscope at a given lattice point in stationary metrics to calculate the Thomas precession in rotating frames. By distinguishing between centric and eccentric observers, we employ different rotational transformations between the rotating and non-rotating frames, and then we compare their results. We show that this method, used by Rindler for Galilean rotational transformations, is applicable to calculate the angle of precession after one complete revolution, but not for calculating the frequency of precession.
