Analytical dependences for determining the entry gap at any thickness of strips or sheets in the range 1–3 mm are built. This range is characterized by a particularly effective manifestation of the total equivalent intensity of the principal true strains. The additivity of this deformation effect on metallic materials (along with the principal true strain intensity) is proved; therefore, it can be considered as a measure of cumulative strain.
