• In a retrospective study of 16 patients conducted between January 2003 and February 2020, 7 women aged 42-60 years were described, who exhibited treatment failure/no therapeutic response or experienced drug intolerance or rebound effect during treatment with aspirin, azathioprine, dapsone, hydroxychloroquine, ciclosporin, colchicine, methotrexate, prednisone or unspecified NSAIDs for cutaneous polyarteritis nodose [not all routes stated; dosages, durations of treatments to reactions onsets and outcomes not stated]. Case 1 (case 1 from the table 2): A 47-year-old woman, who had been diagnosed with cutaneous polyarteritis nodosa, started receiving first-line treatment with azathioprine and prednisone. [...]treatment was switched to IV immune-globulin (IVIG) and mycophenolate mofetil, and poor response was noted.
