The primary aim of the study is to develop an adequate and reliable instrument to evaluate the awareness of climate change. Following the literature review as a part of scale development, the items were composed and submitted to the experts for their approval. After the revision of the item pool was completed according to the views of the experts, the intelligibility test was conducted on five persons. Then, it was published on the Internet via Google Survey and implemented on the 1088 participants, who were reached by the convenience sampling method, across Turkey during February and March 2021. As a result of the analyses, a five- factor scale of 52 items was composed.
