• A Hypervisor is a monitor on top of MS-DOS. It provides task scheduling service to support a multitasking environment. It also includes a run-time debugger as a system development tool. A Hypervisor can be loaded into and released from memory. After integrating Hypervisor with MS-DOS, the IBM-PC not only can execute original programs which are developed under MS-DOS, but also can handle user specified multitasks; therefore, Hypervisor is transparent to the MS-DOS users.
