• China needs to promote the coordinated development of new-type industrialization, informatization, urbanization, and agricultural modernization. In its new stage, China's economy is now on the path of higher quality development that is more efficient, equitable, sustainable, and secure. After more than 40 years of reform and opening up, China has greatly improved its industrialization, has built an a complete industrial system with huge production capacity, has become the world's largest manufacturing country and second largest economy, and has successfully explored industrialization in line with China's conditions. However, China's industrialization process has not yet been completed; instead, it has entered a new development stage. The Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives through the Year 2035 stated that China should carry out new-type industrialization, informatization, urbanization and agricultural modernization, and build a modern economic system by 2035. This has indicated the direction of new industrialization during the new development stage.
