  • Cloud Computing is a relatively new technology which delivers hosted services over the Internet, based on the approach of pay-as-you-go. Consumers, by using services available in the clouds can extend their existing computing services and scale up information technology facilities. Consumers' data is stored and maintained in the data center of a cloud provider like Microsoft, Yahoo, Amazon and Google. Incomplete control over the data may be a cause for concern in relationship to various security issues and risks such as: data breaches, hacked interfaces, sharing of resources, permanent data loss and malicious insiders. Unauthorized access to the sensitive data of the consumers should be blocked by the service providers. In this paper, I will discuss and present the most important cloud computing security challenges in the Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery model with a view to tackle security issues in this environments.
