This study is one that pertains to the family ministry of the Korean immigrant church helping to restore faith community of the immigrant families. It is a study of the family worship ministry which recognizes the need for family ministry by local churches and assists and guides family worship of each family among the methods of the ministry.Due to industrialization and nuclear family system, the family of this age is living and faced with many difficulties and problems. While there were many factors that could help support family under the large family system of the past, in the nuclear family period, family was exposed to the vulnerable environment. In particular, immigrant families have even greater difficulties to overcome in terms of culture, language, and generational conflicts, and the immigrant church must undertake ministry that serves these families with faith. The immigrant church is consisted of small to medium sized churches that voice up various difficulties in carrying out special programs for the family ministry. However, small to medium sized churches are more effective than the large sized churches in achieving a family like church. This is so because, relative to the larger church, pastors of the small to medium sized churches would know much more about the situations and difficulties of the families, and so they can pray diligently and help with details with the church community.Charles M. Sell made the church realize that family ministry is an important ministry of the church ministry. Jesus not only sustained family ministry through healing ministry but also through the community ministry. Family worship is a ministry that helps to prevent and heal family problems for vulnerable immigrant families. Immigrant church can handle ministry that helps each family in their family ministry to offer a sound life to God through family worship. This paper is consisted of 7 chapters. As introduction, Chapter 1 describes the motivation and purpose of this study, the method and scope of research, and the previous researches. Chapter 2 recognizes the need of family ministry by examining the difficulties, problems, and causes of families through “understanding of the modern society and family”. Chapter 3 explores the history of Korean immigrant families and the role of the immigrant church in the study. Chapter 4 explores the theological and biblical understanding of the family and Charles M. Sell's theory of family ministry. In particular, through this healing ministry he raised Lazarus from the dead, Jesus proves that family ministry can be extended to community ministry.Chapter 5 is consisted of case studies on GGPC Church’s family worship conference ministry and in-depth interviews with the families of GGPC. Through the in-depth interviews, we analyzed the cases where family worship affected the community. Chapter 6 then implicates the task of "recovering the faith and family community of the immigrant families" through analysis and results, and also summarizes, suggests, and concludes this study in Chapter 7, the last chapter.
