Beschreibungen/Notizen
Fikiin and Coulomb discuss renewable cooling and renewable refrigeration and the role of International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) in policy-making. IIR and a few of its experts were recently involved in a stakeholders' consulting body set up to advise a working group of European researchers and academics elaborating the renewable cooling provisions to be adopted within the next revised version of the EU Renewable Energy Directive. Although originating from Europe, the lessons learnt there seem to be valid for most of the world. The stakeholders' consultations carried out so far enabled the IIR experts to identify a number of challenges and bottlenecks.
