• The objective of this study was to compare fasting serum total homocysteine concentrations in a randomly selected sample of elderly (average age 65) Hispanic and non-Hispanic White men and women, to examine associations of homocysteine and folate and vitamin B12, and then to correlate these with the prevalence of coronary heart disease in these ethnic/gender groups. Results are discussed.
