Being underage, these children have the right to access the school system in the State of Mexico. For this reason, this article proposes to identify and socio-demographically characterize the underage US population living in the State of Mexico, emphasizing the analysis of school attendance and academic performance, which translates into detecting access and permanence in the State Educational System. The methodological strategy is of a quantitative nature, based on the processing and analysis of the xii General Census of Population and Housing 2000, of the Population and Housing Census 2010 and of the Intercensal Survey 2015, by the National Institute of Statistics, Geography and Informatics.
