Fortunately, in this edition both the reference to the PAM photograph and the Rockefeller Museum inventory number appear at the bottom of each page of plates, and the number of each fragment appears in close proximity to the text. Many MSS here published were studied in preliminary fashion by VanderKam in his Textual and Historical Studies in the Book of Jubilees (Missoula: Scholars, 1977) 18-51, but here he provides a wealth of data for the scholar. For each text VanderKam provides the textual reference in Jubilees, index numbers (including those of the PAM photographs), transcription, notes on the readings, translation, and textual notes of a more explanatory nature.
