Beschreibungen/Notizen
A speech by Thomas J White, Conrad N HIlton Professor in Business Ethics and director of the Center for Ethics and Business, Loyola Marymount University, addresses issues and events in the IT industry that he considers troubling and that contain the threat of serious, long-term unintended negative consequences for human rights. The bottom line, says White, is that it is important to remember that the combination of good intentions, happy consumers and profitable companies does not necessarily mean that everybody lives happily ever after.
