• Hollander et al discusses the integral role played by physical educators in the development of health related attitudes and behaviors among students. The Comprehensive School Health Program is an organizational model which allows physical educators to work with other school personnel in order to help students acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to become healthy adults. Moreover, the program integrates personal and social skills into physical education to protect students against substance abuse behaviors.
