• The stimulating covers of Massachusetts Review, adorned by paintings, drawing, and photographs, give salient visual clues to each issue's contents as well as suggest intellectual bounty within. The show of fifty year of cover art--limited to photography and works on paper--was chosen by the editors as part of magazine's fiftieth anniversary celebration. It also highlights the far-flung selection of artists and themes that help give the magazine its worldly presence. Among other things, Glueck comments on the exhibition of Massachusetts Review cover art originals shown on Apr 22 to May 24 in the University Gallery at the Fine Arts Center on the UMass campus.
