[...]the reviewed publication is also a commentary for Afanas'ev's legend collection. Barag brought some disorder into me type catalogue by using existing numbers for new content, by rewriting many summaries from AaTh without indicating mat he did so and by ignoring other numbers. [...]AaTh (1961) 750 D is missing (for story no. 3 of the collection); AaTh (1961) 759 is mistyped as SUS 750 B*** (in story no. 4/18); and AaTh 840* does not exist (indicated in story no. 3). The corpus examined is by far not sound-recorded oral tradition; bom collections (Afanas'ev's and the anonymous collection) were prepared and published at a time (in the middle of 19th century) when rewriting was considered necessary.
