Beschreibungen/Notizen
  • Computers are efficient, necessary tools used by decisionmakers. Practitioners must deal with various computer systems and software alternatives. This 1990 study investigates the efforts (by a survey) of 669 American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) association members toward incorporation of computer use in the applied business statistics curriculum. One third of the questionnaires were returned and analyzed. The results revealed that computer applications are not a requirement at about one fourth of the schools, whereas approximately the same proportion indicated that computer use was a requirement in both the first and second courses. Additionally, the preferred software packages included Minitab and SAS, which were accessed with personal computers in over half of the reporting schools.
