Presentation of Case
A 56-year-old man with Waldenström's macroglobulinemia and severe immunodeficiency was admitted to the hospital because of multiple cutaneous vesicles and oral ulcers.
There was a two-year history of Waldenström's macroglobulinemia, with a low-grade B-cell lymphoma. Chlorambucil, cyclophosphamide, vincristine, and prednisone were administered, with little improvement. One year before admission the concentration of IgG was 278 mg, IgA 26 mg, and IgM 5710 mg per 100 ml. Fludarabine monophosphate was administered for nine cycles.
