Language input is a necessary way for students to absorb the knowledge; meanwhile language output is an essential means to show how they use language. More importantly, language output is the ultimate goal of second language learning. As a part of language output, oral output not only shows students' proficiency in language using, but also let teachers know the procedures of students' acquisition. Oral output is a useful way to help collect data for Error Analysis. The present study is based on the theories of Error Analysis (EA) and Interlanguage (IL). It, by audio recording, discourse analysis and questionnaire survey, describes the features of the error variety of oral output on simple past tense in junior high schools.
