- Translation from original language as provided by authorWith the rapid development of wireless communication systems, when High-speed, Stableness and Effectiveness indicates the key performance of a network, these systems' physical layers which carry users' sending and receiving information are inevitable to keep up with this developing trends. Even if the currently existing modem technology is quite mature, however, because of the users' increasingly harsh requirements to the network, the traditional technology must improve to make in order to meet these high demands. And every step of these improvements or innovations is no doubt the great challenges to engineers who research on the modem technologies. As we know, current modems can be divided into two types, Single-carrier based modems and Multi-carrier based modems.
